A one-metre bar that washes the wall with light Wall washer is not a product name but a type: the job of a bar like this is to lay an even sheet of light across a whole surface — a façade, a wall, a retaining wall — rather than throw a single pool the way a floodlight does. This model is 100 cm long with a section of only 3.3 × 2.6 cm, so the profile itself all but disappears against the wall; what you see is the effect, not the fitting. A 60° × 10° beam, with a honeycomb louvre included The key figure is the asymmetric 60° × 10° beam: wide horizontally, narrow vertically. That makes the light run along the wall and cling to it instead of escaping into the sky or into passers-by's eyes. The manufacturer also includes a honeycomb louvre — a grid that clips over the optic, cuts glare and means that from the side you see the lit wall rather than the glowing LEDs. Tunable colour, 2700–6500 K The fitting is tunable white: colour temperature shifts steplessly from 2700 K to 6500 K, warm through to cool daylight. On a façade that has real value — brick and timber look best warm, concrete and render in neutral white, while cool white brings out modern pale finishes. Output is 1580–1770 lm depending on the colour set, at 24 W and CRI 80. Colour consistency between units is SDCM < 2.3, i.e. no visible difference in tint between neighbouring bars — which matters when several are mounted in a row. Before you buy: the driver and the connectors are separate This is the thing to plan for. The fitting runs on 24 V in Class III (safety extra-low voltage), but the driver is NOT included — it has to be sized separately to the total load. The male and female connectors are not included either; the manufacturer lists them under their own code CNCTR 3 (25 cm lead, 24 V, IP66). Up to 6 fittings can be linked on one run. Dimming is over DALI or Bluetooth — not with an ordinary wall dimmer. Standing up outdoors The body is aluminium in grey, rated IP66 — dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets, so it suits unsheltered mounting and façade washing. Impact resistance is IK04, equivalent to a 0.5 J blow; this is a fitting for a façade or a garden, not for a spot at ground level exposed to kicks or vandalism. Operating range: −25 to +50 °C. Life The manufacturer declares 50,000 hours to L70B50 — after which at most half the fittings in a batch drop below 70% of initial output. At a typical 3 hours a day that is roughly 45 years.
