Three 20 cm glass shades hung in a line from a 70 cm bar finished in antique brass. Each shade is a different tint of glass — clear, smoked and champagne — and the whole assembly hangs on an adjustable 150 cm fabric cable. Three tints of glass instead of one The most interesting move in this fitting is that the shades are not identical. Clear glass passes the light almost unchanged and shows the filament; smoked glass dims it and adds a greyish, cooler cast; champagne warms it and brings in a golden reflection. Lit together they create a gradation no three matching shades could produce — looking along the bar you see a clear progression from bright to smoky. Worth bearing in mind at installation, when you decide which end faces the door. An 80 cm bar — what it suits Points spread over 80 cm of length and only 20 cm of width make this a fitting for narrow, elongated surfaces: a table for four, a kitchen island, a bar counter, a hall console. Over a round table it would look out of proportion. The adjustable 150 cm cable lets you hang it at the usual dining height of 70–80 cm above the top, and the excess is trimmed during installation. The manufacturer gives a maximum overall height of 200 cm. Antique brass — warmer than gold The antique brass finish has a matt, slightly darkened tone, closer to aged metal than to bright gold. That keeps the fitting from looking cheap against timber and darker walls, while stopping short of imposing a glamour style. It works well with the champagne tint of one of the shades — that pairing is deliberate, not coincidental. Lamps and wiring The fitting has three E27 sockets rated at a maximum of 40 W each and **is supplied without bulbs**. That is deliberate: with clear glass the shape of the lamp itself is on show, so a decorative filament bulb at 2200–2700 K is worth choosing, as it accentuates the differences between the shades. The fitting is not dimmable, so any brightness control has to come from the lamp. It is protection class I and requires an earth conductor; IP20 protection places it in dry rooms.
