EMANDA 19110-68 is a floor lamp 144 cm tall. A brass-coloured ribbon winds around a slim black column, and the inner edge of that ribbon is the lit, milky-white LED strip. The whole thing stands on a round black base 25 cm across. How much room it takes and where it goes At 144 cm the fitting reaches roughly shoulder height on a standing adult, and the lit ribbon begins above the back of an ordinary sofa — so the light leaves the lamp above the eyeline of anyone sitting down. The manufacturer classes it as a luminaire for living spaces. On the floor it occupies a disc 25 cm across, less than a dinner plate. It weighs 2,1 kg, so it is easy to move — and light for its height, which is worth keeping in mind if it is going anywhere people walk past. How much light it gives The manufacturer publishes two flux figures and the distinction is worth knowing. The LED module itself is rated 3000 lm, while 1470 lm leaves the luminaire once the light has passed through the diffuser. When you are sizing the lighting of a room, the second number is the one that counts. 1470 lm is roughly two old 60 W bulbs, so EMANDA is supplementary light beside a sofa or an armchair rather than a replacement for a ceiling light in a larger room. The 3000 K colour is warm white: warmer than daylight, but without a pronounced yellow. Power, dimming and the light source The lamp plugs into an ordinary socket — a plug-in transformer is included, and the fitting itself runs in protection class III, that is on safety extra-low voltage. No electrician and no wall box are needed. A cord dimmer sits on the cable and comes with the lamp, so the brightness is adjusted without buying anything else and without touching the installation.
