IVAR 1 is a slim aluminium tube 6.4 cm across, hung on a black cable with a drop reaching 200 cm. The shade is vertically fluted — the same motif now found on chest fronts, wall panels and kitchen islands. This unit is ultramarine, with a canopy in the same shade. Dimming as standard, and by two methods Thoro fits every IVAR luminaire with PUSH DIMM and DALI-2 control — at no extra cost and with no special version to order. PUSH DIMM means dimming from an ordinary retractive switch: a short press switches, holding it sweeps the brightness. DALI-2 is a digital bus for installations where fittings are addressed and driven from a panel or a building system. At this price point that is unusual — most pendants around this money cannot be dimmed at all. CRI 90, 36° and no flicker 1188 lumens from 8 W arrive in a 36° beam — a narrow cone that lights a chosen stretch of worktop or table rather than the whole room. 4000 K is neutral, and colour rendering of CRI 90 is clearly above the usual 80: wood, fabric and food keep their proper colour. Thoro also declares flicker-free operation, achieved with branded drivers (TCI, Mean Well, KGP) — which matters where people spend hours at a table or work at a screen. Source lifetime is 50,000 hours. One fitting out of a whole concept IVAR is not a single model but a family: a pendant in one-light and six-light versions, a ceiling light and a wall light, each in ten colours and two colour temperatures. So you can hang single tubes over an island, add a wall light in the same shade beside a mirror and a ceiling light in the hallway, keeping one shade profile throughout. The fitting is made in Poland and covered by a five-year warranty; IP20 keeps it in dry interiors, and protection class I requires an earth conductor.
