The KOSTER Pro 1813 is a pole-top luminaire: a dome-shaped cast aluminium shade carried on a straight arm that slides onto a 60 mm pole spigot. The body is powder-coated in RAL 9006, a light aluminium shade of grey. The LED module is built in, so no bulb has to be bought separately. Size and mounting on the pole The luminaire is 45 cm long and the shade measures 24.5 cm across and the same in height. At 2.6 kg it puts little load on the pole. The mounting spigot is 60 mm in diameter and the luminaire slides 80 mm onto it — the pole itself is ordered separately. A white H05VV-F 2×1 cable 4.2 m long leaves the luminaire for connection inside the pole, in a suitably chosen junction box. The manufacturer's photometric file describes the light distribution for a 3.3 m mounting height, and pole spacing is planned from that figure. How much light the KOSTER Pro 1813 gives The LED module draws 15.4 W and the complete luminaire 16.9 W, sending 1917 lm downwards — enough for a footpath or a driveway from about 3.3 m up. 3000 K is warm white, calmer than the 4000 K normally used on streets. A colour rendering index of Ra 70 is adequate for walkways and parking bays. The beam is shaped by a Ledil T2-M lens, giving a wide and even spread. The ULOR value is 0%, so the luminaire sends no light above its own plane — it brightens neither the sky nor first-floor windows. It dims on a phase-cut (TRIAC) dimmer, in trailing edge and leading edge mode. The LED module keeps 90% of its output after more than 100,000 hours and can be replaced by a qualified electrician. Build and resistance to the weather The shade is closed by transparent structured polycarbonate, UV-stabilised, and the joint is sealed with a silicone gasket. IP65 allows the luminaire to stay unsheltered — jets of rain and dust do not reach the inside. IK10 describes a housing exposed to knocks in public spaces. It works between −20 and +45 °C and is class II, so no protective earth conductor is required. Where it belongs The manufacturer intends it for outdoor and garden lighting, for park paths and for the grounds of hotels and restaurants.
