YM agar sticks are ready-to-use culture media for the assessment of yeasts and molds in the air with RCS® air samplers. Each agar stick is individually hermetically packed in a resealable bag and 100% visually inspected to ensure maximum safety in critical environments. Red Bengal chloramphenicol agar is filled into a flexible carrier film. Red Bengal chloramphenicol agar is a selective medium for the bacterial count of yeasts and molds. It contains chloramphenicol, streptomycin and red bengal as selection agents to inhibit bacterial growth. Bengal red also limits the size and height of colonies of fast-growing molds, which makes it easier to detect slow-growing fungi. Agar sticks are used to monitor room air and compressed gases with RCS® air samplers.Meer tonen
