Monclova is a slim rectangular bollard 80 cm tall with a cross-section of just 12 × 9.4 cm, standing on a flat mounting plate. The whole body is black and entirely closed — the only opening is a small light slot just below the top edge, on one face of the post. One-sided light, aimed downward That single slot defines the fitting: light leaves from one side only and only downward. Walking along a path you see the lit surface, not the source — and at 80 cm the pool of light falls exactly where you put your feet. One-sided optics also let the bollards stand along a wall or a hedge without wasting half the output on it. 571 lumens from 9 watts The 9 W LED module gives 571 lumens in a warm 3000 K. That is markedly more than low fittings that merely mark a path edge — an 80 cm bollard genuinely lights the route rather than signalling it. Spaced 3-4 metres apart, successive pools merge into a continuous band. Warm 3000 K does not shift plant colours the way cold light does, and attracts insects less strongly than colours above 4000 K. IP65 and aluminium The body is aluminium, the diffuser acrylic, and ingress protection IP65 means full dust-tightness and resistance to water jets. For a fitting standing in the ground that is the right level — rain, garden sprinklers and paving washes are no threat. The closed form, without fins or gaps, does not collect needles or leaves, which in garden fittings often matters more than the declared rating. That allows a whole path to be built from one design family: low fittings by the beds, taller ones at the entrance and the driveway, all sharing the same cross-section and the same character of light. Installation The base plate bolts to a prepared footing or to paving; the 230 V supply is brought up from beneath. Plan the cable before the surface goes down — with bollards of this height the commonest mistake is bringing the cable out too late and having to lift part of the path.
