Moss 6168GR is a garden spotlight mounted on a ground spike. The graphite head is 8.5 cm across and sits on a hinged bracket; the body is powder-coated cast aluminium in RAL 7016 and the front is closed with clear safety glass. With the spike the luminaire stands 27 cm tall and weighs 0.56 kg. How it is placed in the garden The spike pushes into the soil with no footing and no anchoring, so the luminaire can be moved when the shrub grows or the bed is rearranged. It is the only fixing in the box — brackets for any other surface have to be bought separately. The head tilts vertically on the bolted bracket, so from one position the light can be aimed at a trunk, at the crown of a shrub or at a wall. The 27 cm height is the figure to compare with the planting at the intended spot. A factory-fitted H05RN-F 3G1 cable 3 m long leaves the luminaire with a free end, to be taken into an installation box rated for outdoor use; Norlys sells one separately under index 145ZX0009. The luminaire is protection class I, so the circuit needs a protective earth conductor. How much light it gives and of what kind The light comes from an integrated LED module running directly off the 230 V mains: there is no bulb to buy or change, and replacement of the module is reserved for the manufacturer's service. The luminaire draws 8.4 W and delivers 752 lm — roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave, but concentrated into a 36-degree beam. The manufacturer states that from 2 m the pool of light is about 1.5 m across, so Moss picks out a single shrub, a tree or a section of wall rather than lighting a whole lawn. 4000 K is neutral white light with no yellow cast, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough for leaves and stone to keep their natural colour. Brightness can be adjusted, but it takes a TRIAC phase dimmer working on the leading or trailing edge. What it withstands outdoors IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to a water jet from a nozzle, so the luminaire stays in the bed through rain and watering. Impact resistance IK06 corresponds to a blow of 1 J, and the operating range of −20 to +45 °C covers a full year outdoors. The manufacturer gives a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty on the powder-coated aluminium casting and five years on the luminaire as a whole. The form is modern: a smooth cylinder with no ornament, the only visible detail being the bolt of the hinge.
