A small sphere rests above a broad hemispherical shade, giving the fitting the presence of a carefully balanced sculpture rather than a conventional shade on a cable. The continuous painted-steel finish keeps the outline clean and lets the warm, saturated colour do the visual work. Hung over a round dining table, kitchen island or occasional table, it can identify a particular zone without relying on decorative pattern or mixed materials.Scale and suspensionThe shade measures 30 cm in diameter and 26 cm in height. Overall dimensions are 30 cm wide, 30 cm deep and 130 cm high. A slim cable rises from the upper sphere to a round ceiling canopy finished in the same brick-red colour, so the design remains coherent from ceiling to shade. The suspension height is adjustable during installation, allowing the lower edge to be positioned in relation to the furniture and ceiling. The manufacturer can also supply an extended cable on request.The hemispherical shade is open underneath, directing the useful light mainly towards the surface below. Depending on the bulb selected, part of its glass envelope may remain visible beneath the rim. Bulb shape therefore contributes to the appearance as well as the light effect.
