A surface-mounted cylinder for outdoor ceilings SARAVENA LE71416 is a surface-mounted fitting: a black aluminium cylinder 9 cm across and 11 cm tall, screwed straight onto the substrate. It needs neither a cut-out nor a void above the ceiling, so it goes where a recessed fitting simply cannot — under a concrete soffit, on the underside of a terrace roof, in a gateway passage. Inside the cylinder a mirrored reflector sits recessed behind glass, so the source does not glare when seen from the side. IP65 — what it means on a ceiling IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets from any direction. In practice: the fitting takes driving rain, a moderate-pressure wash of the façade, and the damp that condenses under a canopy. The housing is aluminium and the cover is glass — an outdoor set of materials, with nothing that goes chalky like plastic after two seasons. How much light, and what for The built-in 6 W LED module gives 520 lumens at 3000 K (warm white). This is directional light aimed downward — it will not light a whole terrace, but it marks a zone superbly: above the front door, above the house number, above a step, in an even row along a soffit. To cover a larger area you plan several of them at 1–1.5 m spacing rather than one in the middle. Integrated LED module The source is permanently built in and included — no lamp to buy and none to change. Supply 230 V, one light point. The benefit is sealing (with no lampholder and no thread, that is two fewer routes for moisture); the cost is that the module's life is the life of the whole fitting.
