It curves around the exposed bulb to form an open ring, finished black on the outside and gold on its inner face. Viewed head-on, the contrasting surfaces frame the light source; seen from an angle, the depth of the ribbon and the overlap of its ends become clearer. A circular black wall plate and short support keep the fitting close to the wall while leaving the asymmetric loop as the dominant feature.An exposed source within the designThere is no conventional shade to hide the lamp, so the bulb’s shape affects the appearance whether the light is on or off.
