Engineered with a lightweight yet durable hybrid carbon construction with high-density dual stringers, the Swell feels stiff, responsive and maneuverable. Grip-friendly concave forward rails make duckdiving and pop-ups a breeze and the wedged tail shape improves pumpability. For 2024 we've introduced an efficient tri-plane hole design for more stable, fast-release take-offs and effortless touchdown recovery. A lower entry rocker and refined profile in each size gives the board more effective surface area, helping to support your weight when prone and increase your paddling speed. The board's new non-abrasive max-traction heat-embossed deck grip features a centreline ridge and transverse markers for tactile and visual stance referencing. The flatter board creates more effective surface area, helping to improve your paddling speed. The rocker through the midsection of the board is designed for optimal wave fit and forgiving release. New tri-plane hole Designed for earlier takeoffs and faster release. The double V-shape in the bottom contour of the board is created by a single concave in the center with an angled planing surface on each side. The water tracks from the central concave and side rails to the two longitudinal spines, allowing the board to lift and release quickly, without sticking. The angled-planing surfaces run right through to the tail, allowing you to touch down on more variable rail angles without catching. Deep recessed deck for control and pumpability The concave deck, especially in the standing area, positions the rider's feet level with the foil for more efficient pumping. It also gives you greater leverage, responsiveness, and heel/toe roll control. The recessed deck results in most of the board's volume being shifted out towards the rails, in turn providing greater balance and stability on takeoffs and touchdown. It also helps you get your front foot through more easily, so you can get to your feet faster. Compact outline with redistributed volume The shorter the board, the more effective it is for pumping, the less swing weight, and more maneuverable it is when riding up on the foil. The wide point of the board is under your chest, which supports the load better when you're paddling, and means the board's center of buoyancy is under your front foot when you pop up – helping it rebound. Easy to grab bevelled rails Grip-friendly concave forward rails make duck diving and pop-ups child's play. We've added a concave to the forward rail, so it's easier to hold and balance. While riding you can grab the rail for added stability and control of your foil. The concave bevelled rail also allows your fingers to stay clear of the planing surface, eliminating drag during take-offs. Crisp release tapered tail The defined edge on the tail allows for faster release off the water and drag-free touchdowns. The wedged tail shape reduces tail-strike when pumping. nan New customizable strap insert positions Multiple positioning options for each strap allow you to personalize your stance - or go strapless. Centreline and offline strap insert options accommodate both goofy or natural riding. (Straps sold separately) Hybrid Carbon Technology Lighter weight construction for stiffness, maneuverability, and glide. The stiffer the board, the better it will pump and the more responsive it feels. A light yet durable epoxy composite laminate, with a balanced carbon and e-glass fiber layup is wrapped around an EPS core. High-density closed cell PVC reinforcement around the foil track mount, leash plug, and foot strap inserts spreads the load. An ultra-lightweight double bamboo reinforcement layer under the standing area adds greater impact resistance and rigidity.
