This is a system component rather than a luminaire: an X-shaped cross connector that ties four lengths of EUTRAC 3-circuit track into one node. The housing is silver-grey and the manufacturer's catalogue number is R11340. What it does in a track installation The connector carries the track run out in four directions from a single point. The route no longer has to be a straight line: from one place the arms can go opposite ways and out to both sides, which on larger layouts covers a whole room without looping the track around it. Feed-in and maximum load Besides joining the track mechanically, the part also feeds it: mains power can be brought into the run at this point instead of being taken to the end of the track. It handles two separate circuits, so fittings on different arms can be switched independently. The manufacturer rates it at a maximum load of 16 A on a 230 V supply. That is the ceiling for the combined draw of everything fed through this node — when planning a long run, add up the fittings' consumption and compare it with that figure. What it fits and how big it is The connector fits EUTRAC 3-circuit (3-phase, Eurostandard) track only. It does not mechanically fit single-circuit track or magnetic systems. The arms reach 12 cm in each direction, the part is 3.5 cm high and it weighs 290 g.
