The LED PRO A connector, index 24-0000-36, joins a 10 mm LED strip to a wire without soldering. The body is transparent, made of polycarbonate and copper, and inside it sit pins that pierce the strip's laminate. Which strip it fits The manufacturer assigns this index to single-colour MONO strips 10 mm wide only, and brings out 2 pins. CCT, RGB/CCT and RGBW strips carry more tracks and have their own connector indices — 3-, 4- and 5-pin — and the counterpart for a 10 mm COB strip is 24-0000-42. The pin count has to match the strip, or the joint will not work. The connector is one-sided: it clamps onto the end of the strip on one side and takes the wire on the other. No wire is supplied — the manufacturer's data sheet lists "Wire" as "none". How the joint is made Strip and wire go under the flaps and snap shut with a click. The pins pierce the laminate and reach the strip's copper pads, so nothing has to be tinned or stripped back. The connector may be used with IP20 and IP65 strips, but on an IP65 strip the joint itself has to be sealed after it is closed — without that, the rating no longer holds at that point. Size and load The body measures 22 × 14 × 7 mm. Those 7 mm of height are worth comparing with the clear height under the cover of the profile the joint is going into — the connector stands noticeably higher than the strip itself. The manufacturer states 5, 12 or 24 V DC and a maximum current of 2 A.
