Halmstad 1403BL is a garden bollard light with a square section, 49 cm tall. The shaft is impregnated Scandinavian pine; the head and base are hot-dip galvanised steel powder-coated black in RAL 9005. A milky PMMA diffuser sits inside the head, behind horizontal louvres. How tall it is and how it is fixed At 49 cm the light falls on the surface beside the fitting, not into the eyes of anyone walking past — the bollard lights the path and the nearest beds, not the whole garden. The base is fixed through three ø9 mm holes, 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. Neither the ground spike nor the concrete anchor is included; Norlys sells them separately, along with the concrete-foundation adapter and the connection box. The terminals take conductors up to 3×2.5 mm², or 3×1.5 mm² when several fittings are looped together, and the gland accepts round cable up to ø12.5 mm. How much light it gives, and what kind The fitting runs on a replaceable E27 source of up to 9 W in the LED version. No bulb is included, so you choose colour and brightness yourself; the manufacturer names the Philips Master LEDbulb at 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K as the matched source — warm light as bright as a former 60 W bulb. Light leaves through the sides of the head and is partly shielded from above. The manufacturer states ULOR 48% and a BUG rating of B0-U3-G1: the bollard lights all around itself and part of the output goes upwards. What it is made of and what it withstands The wood is impregnated and the steel hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated, so both parts are prepared for permanent contact with water. A silicone gasket closes the milky diffuser and IP65 confirms the seal: the fitting takes rain and cleaning with a water jet. IK10 is the highest impact rating on that scale, which counts beside a driveway. The operating range runs from −20 to +45 °C, so the fitting stays outdoors through winter. Protection class II means the installation needs no earth conductor. The diffuser and the gasket are available separately as service parts. Where to place it The manufacturer intends Halmstad for private grounds and public areas: along a driveway, beside a terrace and next to footpaths. Natural wood set against black steel is a Scandinavian pairing that suits a wooden gazebo, a bench or a climbing-plant trellis.
