The climate control display is also a typical defective component in the Porsche 944 and 968CS. Service: This offer includes a refurbished Porsche 944 / 968CS digital clock in exchange for your defective clock. We can replace blown capacitors, damaged housings, and scratched buttons, and we have a large stock of spare parts. Each clock receives a new, original-style display, circuit strips, and new lumens. All components are cleaned before reassembly. (Please note that we cannot repair clocks with broken circuit boards). Installation/Removal Instructions: 1. With the passenger door open, remove the triangular, black plastic cover at the end of the dashboard. 2. Remove the screw underneath securing the long, thin switch panel. 3. Carefully pry off the knobs of the two heater/air conditioning sliders using a small flathead screwdriver or plastic spatula. 4. Carefully pry off the heater/air conditioning control cover from the side using a plastic spatula or very small flathead screwdriver. The cover is held in place by four small clips (two at the top, two at the bottom). Be careful, the old plastic parts break easily. Remove all four screws from the control unit and pull it forward one centimeter. 5. Carefully rotate the internal sensor rosette (small, round grille) approximately 30 degrees to remove it. Loosen the screw behind it. 6. Using a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the cover to the left of the right fan grille and the screws behind it. 7. Now you can easily remove the switch panel and detach the clock using its two screws. The somewhat stiff connector is not clipped in and simply pulls off. 8. Keep the screws safe and enjoy your new clock. Installation is the reverse of removal. Note: Ensure that the internal sensor hose has not slipped off and ideally use a cable tie to secure it. Duration: 10 min Tip: Avoid buying a digital clock that is still functional but has never been refurbished. It's only a matter of time before it also stops working.
