s.luce Hive LED Wall Light White Hexagonal 55 cm 3000K Dimmable Metal

Name: s.luce Hive LED Wall Light White Hexagonal 55 cm 3000K Dimmable Metal
Brand: s.luce

Hive is a wall light shaped as a hexagonal white metal plate, 55 cm across between opposite corners. The plate stands 4,4 cm off the wall and the built-in LED module shines behind it — a lit outline forms on the wall around the whole hexagon while the plate itself stays dark. How much wall it takes up The hexagon measures 55 cm at its widest, so it covers roughly as much wall as a square picture of 50 × 50 cm. At 4,4 cm deep it stays out of the way of furniture standing against the wall. Light leaves only sideways and backwards, and the plate neither turns nor tilts — the lit outline always sits symmetrically around it. Hive also comes in 35 and 45 cm and in black and gold leaf, so several pieces can be arranged into one wall composition. How much light it gives and how it dims The LED module puts out 2300 lumens on 29 W. That is well above the old 60 W bulb, but because the light goes into the wall rather than into the room, Hive works as additional lighting and not as a replacement for a ceiling fitting. 3000 K is a warm white tone, and a colour rendering index above Ra 80 is the usual level for living spaces. The fitting is dimmable, but it needs an external leading- or trailing-edge dimmer — there is no control and no remote on the luminaire itself. The light source is built in permanently and cannot be replaced. The manufacturer rates it at 30 000 operating hours and 20 000 switching cycles, which at three hours a day comes to more than twenty years. Build and installation The body is metal, painted white, with a matt surface and no gloss. The fitting runs on 230 V in protection class I, so the connection box has to carry an earth conductor — worth checking in an older installation before you buy. The manufacturer lists Hive among its indoor luminaires and intends it for the living room, the bedroom, the dining room, the kitchen and the hallway. The plain geometric shape without ornament and the uniform white make it read as a wall element rather than as a lamp.Pokaż więcej
