VOGUE W0227 is a large Max Light wall fitting: gold metal cylinders set against glass icicles, in a composition 54 cm tall and 33 cm wide. Four G9 holders take sources of up to 40 W each. Cylinders and icicles — a jewellery-like construction The manufacturer describes the form as a nod to jewellery, and the comparison is apt: gleaming gold tubes form the skeleton, and the glass icicles hung beside them break and split the light. The effect depends on what goes into the holders — a source with a visible point of light (a clear G9 bulb) gives sharp reflections in the icicles, while an opal source blurs them into a soft glow. This is a decorative wall light: its job is to glitter, not to light the room. Four times G9 up to 40 W The G9 base is a small bi-pin socket — the lamp pushes onto two pins. The 40 W per holder ceiling refers to halogen sources; with LEDs of the same size the figure is 3–5 W, giving 300–500 lumens per point, or 1,200–2,000 lm from the whole fitting. No lamps are included. The fitting is not dimmable — adjusting brightness would need dimmable sources and a dimmer in the circuit. It projects 20 cm from the wall, so in a narrow corridor or beside a doorway that has to be counted. It looks best where it has room: flanking a hallway mirror, beside a fireplace, in a stairwell, or in pairs along a dining-room wall. Build and limits The construction pairs metal in a gold finish with glass. The gold here is a bright finish, not a matt one — it sits well with dark walls and wood, while in pale, cool interiors it can dominate the composition. The glass elements are brittle, so mount the fitting clear of busy circulation. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors — in a bathroom only outside the protection zones.
