A fitting you can walk on DASAR 115 is a walkover luminaire — set horizontally into ground, paving or a terrace and rated to take a footfall. That is what separates it from an ordinary garden spot: housing and glass have to carry the load, and the seal has to hold against water standing over the fitting after rain. Hence IP67 — dust-tight and resistant to immersion, not merely to jets. The beam can be aimed after installation This is the feature that justifies choosing this model over a cheaper fixed recessed fitting. The GU10 holder tilts through 30° and rotates through 90° horizontally, even once the body is set in concrete. So the beam is aimed at a tree trunk, a wall or along a path without moving the housing — and when the garden is rearranged, it is a matter of lifting the cover and resetting it. 316 stainless, not ordinary stainless The housing is grade 316 stainless steel, not the more common 304. The difference is the molybdenum: 316 tolerates chlorides — winter road salt and sea spray — where 304 starts to pit. For a fitting set into a drive that gets driven over in winter, that is not a catalogue detail. The cover is part-satinised glass. GU10 / QPAR51 lamp chosen separately No light source is supplied. The holder is GU10 in the QPAR51 format, maximum 35 W. The manufacturer also states a glass temperature of 110 °C at the light-emitting face — a real figure worth remembering if the fitting is going somewhere people walk barefoot. Choosing a lower-wattage lamp brings the temperature down too.
