PLAYA 32-50489 is a pendant with two globe shades in clear glass, on a slim steel suspension. Two integrated LED modules give a combined 600 lm from 10 W at 3000 K. Spread 24 × 18 cm, drop up to 200 cm. The height adjusts smoothly — after installation This is what sets the fitting apart from pendants at a similar price. Candellux specifies smooth height adjustment by sliding the suspension up or down — not a one-off shortening of the cord at connection, but a genuine re-set at any time. In practice: in the morning, when homework or work happens at the table — lamp higher, the light covers the whole surface; in the evening at dinner — lamp lower, the light narrows to the table and forms an intimate circle; if the furniture is rearranged or the table changes — no electrician needed. How much light, and over what table 600 lm is an atmospheric quantity, not a working one. For comparison, an LED bulb replacing an old 60 W lamp gives about 800 lm. Above a dining table up to roughly 90 cm wide, PLAYA works as the only light for meals, but for paperwork or chopping a second source is worth having — under-cabinet lighting in a kitchen, for instance. Efficacy is 60 lm/W, colour 3000 K (warm white). Clear glass absorbs almost no light — an advantage over tinted shades — but it also means the LED module is visible. Hung low over a table, where seated people look upward at an angle, that can be noticeable; hanging it higher removes the issue. Clear glass has one more practical advantage in a kitchen: dirt shows on it and wipes off easily, and grease does not accumulate unnoticed in a matt surface. Longevity The LED modules are integrated — no socket, no bulb to change. Declared life is 20,000 hours, which at three hours a day is about 18 years. After that the whole fitting is replaced, but in practice that is a horizon on which the room gets redecorated before the diode fails. Construction and mounting Shades: clear spherical glass; suspension: steel. Dimensions 24 × 18 cm at a maximum drop of 200 cm. This article, 32-50489, is the double globe version.
