The Gea Luce GES1060 is a small outdoor wall light shaped as an aluminium cylinder 64 mm across and 115 mm tall, finished in white. The diffuser closing the lower opening is made of tempered clear glass — not plastic, which yellows after a few seasons in the sun.Light downward onlyThis is a single-emission fitting: the top of the cylinder is closed and light leaves only from below. It therefore does not wash the wall above it or throw anything into the sky — it draws a defined cone of light on the ground. By a front door, along a path or on a terrace that means light at your feet without glare and without lighting up a neighbour's window.The bulb decides the effectThe fitting takes one GU10 source of up to 35 W; no bulb is included. Because the fitting has no optics of its own, the whole character of the light depends on the bulb you choose. For this series the manufacturer lists 5 W and 7 W sources in 38° (a narrow, sharply defined pool) and 100° (wide and soft) versions, plus 9 W at 110°. A narrow angle brings out wall texture better; a wide one lights an entrance more evenly.DurabilityThe body is aluminium, the rating IP54 — full protection against settling dust and resistance to splashing water from any direction. That suits a building wall, a covered walkway or a sheltered terrace; for a spot hit by a hose jet, an IP65 fitting is the better choice. The luminaire is protection class I and requires a protective earth connection.
