QUIME is a plaster wall light in the shape of a torn sheet of paper. A flat panel measuring 25.5 × 18.5 cm stands 6 cm off the wall, and its top and bottom edges are ragged — the tear exposes raw, unsanded gypsum against the smooth face. The light escapes through the tear The fitting does not throw light forwards. The built-in LED module hides behind the panel, and the light gets out only through the two ragged slots — upwards and downwards, laying itself on the wall above and below. Because the edge is irregular, so is the edge of the light: a jagged shadow line is drawn on the wall, following the shape of the tear. That is the whole effect, and it is worth understanding before buying. QUIME lights the wall, not the room. You will not read by it and it will not replace a bedside lamp. It works as an accent in a hallway, beside a staircase, over a chest of drawers, or in a pair either side of a bed — anywhere the point is a soft glow and the play of light across plaster. How much light it gives A built-in 6 W LED module of 354 lm at 3000 K (warm white) is included. That works out at about 59 lm/W — modest by current LED standards, but efficacy is not the measure here: all 354 lm reach the wall through narrow slots rather than scattering across the room. Warm 3000 K is the right call for this: on white plaster it gives a creamy, comfortable glow, and across the torn gypsum edge it brings out the texture of the break. The colour cannot be changed — the LED module is permanently built in and not replaceable, so when it is spent the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer makes no provision for dimming. Plaster — what that means in practice The body is made entirely of gypsum plaster, the one material that can look exactly like the wall it hangs on. The torn edge is a deliberate use of it: it shows a raw fracture, which cannot be had in metal or plastic. Plaster does make demands, though. It is brittle — when unpacking and fitting it, hold the panel by its face, not by the ragged edges. It weighs 1.24 kg, so the fixing needs a plug matched to the wall construction; a nail in plasterboard will not do.
