FENDA II is a table lamp base standing on three slim legs that taper upwards into a cone topped with an E27 socket. The body is aluminium finished in matt white. No shade is included — you choose that separately. How big the base is and what comes in the box The tripod measures 36 cm high and 19 cm across the spread of its legs, and weighs just under half a kilo (0.494 kg). The final height of the lamp depends on the shade you pick, but the base itself takes up little more room on a surface than a small plant pot — the scale of a lamp beside a bed, on a hallway chest of drawers or on a side table next to an armchair. The supply lead is 180 cm long, ends in a mains plug and carries a foot switch in the cable. You switch the lamp on with your foot rather than reaching under the shade, and it plugs straight into a 230 V socket with no electrical work. Which light source fits The E27 socket takes one lamp of up to 40 W. That figure is the ceiling for the bulb, not the consumption of the base — there is no integrated LED here and no bulb is supplied, so colour and brightness are your choice. The manufacturer intends the base for LED and energy-saving lamps, and 40 W leaves them a wide margin: a current E27 LED giving 800 lm, the equivalent of the old 60 W bulb, draws around 8 W. For a bedroom or living room most people pick 2700–3000 K, that is warm, slightly yellow light. SLV recommends the A60 at 7.5 W and 2700 K for this base, along with the decorative ST64 at 7.5 W and 2500 K with gold-tinted glass. The shade is chosen separately The base belongs to the FENDA Mix & Match system. A threaded ring above the socket holds a shade from the same series — FENDA shades are sold on their own, in a range of diameters, fabrics and colours. The same white base can therefore be dressed in a quiet shade that matches the wall or in a strong colour accent, and later you replace only the shade rather than the whole lamp. Construction The legs and the socket mount are aluminium, matt white throughout with no gloss. The open tripod frame means the base does not block whatever stands behind it on a shelf or a chest of drawers.
