TORREV LE46200 is a pendant with a cylindrical shade in clear glass, 120 cm long, hung on two cables beneath a ceiling bar finished in antique brass. The drop reaches 180 cm. A metre twenty of glass above the table This fitting is designed for one job: lighting a long dining table or a kitchen island. The shade measures 120 cm, so it covers a table of ordinary length without hanging several lights side by side and measuring the spacing. The glass is clear, not opal – a fundamental difference. The shade does not diffuse the light, it encloses it: you see the lit module inside, and the body itself stays light and does not block the view across the table. The cost is that the source is directly visible, so hanging it too low will dazzle those seated. Antique brass and two cables The shade hangs from two thin cables fixed to a metal ceiling bar in an antique brass finish – a warm, subdued brass closer to old patina than to bright gold. The pairing of cool, colourless glass with warm metal is this fitting's real effect: the two materials read separately instead of merging into one mass. Two-point suspension is practical as well – on a 120 cm glass cylinder it distributes the load and keeps the shade level. 1320 lumens and TRIAC dimming The built-in LED module at 24 W gives 1320 lm in warm 3000 K. That is about 55 lm/W – a typical figure for a decorative fitting in which part of the output stays in the glass and the structure. Over a table, 1320 lm is enough for atmosphere and for meals; if homework or work happens at that same table, add a separate task light. An important feature: the fitting dims on a TRIAC dimmer. With clear glass that is not a nicety but a real tool – dimming the module quietens a directly visible source and shifts the light from utility to evening. The light source is permanently built in; there is no replaceable lamp. Nothing to buy separately, but no way to change output or colour later either. Weight and installation The fitting weighs 10.2 kg. That is a lot for a pendant and the single most important thing to check before buying: the ceiling and the fixing point have to carry it, and in a plasterboard ceiling it must be anchored into the supporting structure, not into the board. The construction is steel and glass, supply 230 V, protection IP20 – dry interiors only. Over a table, 70–80 cm from the surface to the bottom of the shade is the usual figure; with clear glass, err on the higher side.
