GFA1664 is a square recessed fitting by Gea Luce in which, instead of one large aperture, a grid of nine separate LED points works in a 3 × 3 arrangement. A white 71 × 71 mm frame encloses a glossy black anti-glare cover — a colour pairing that is functional here, not merely stylistic. Black cells instead of a glowing panel Each of the nine points sits deep inside its own black cell with angled walls. The result is that looking at the ceiling from a normal angle you see no bright patch — the fitting reads as switched off even while it is lighting the room. The manufacturer calls this an anti-glare optic outright, and that is why the whole cover is black: a black surface does not bounce light back toward the viewer. The approach belongs wherever the fitting falls within the field of view — over a table, in a corridor, in an open space with a high ceiling. 12 W, 950 lumens, 40° beam The LED module draws 12 W at 220–240 V and delivers 950 lumens at a warm 3000 K. The 40° beam is a compromise between general and accent light: wider than a typical accent spot, so two or three fittings in a row merge into continuous light over a worktop, yet narrower than a general-purpose downlight, so the light does not wash across a whole wall. Colour rendering is above CRI 80 and the declared module life is 50,000 hours. Cut-out and driver Installation needs a 66 × 66 mm cut-out; the body reaches 40 mm into the ceiling and the visible frame measures 71 × 71 mm. Spring clips hold the fitting — they are visible at the sides of the housing in the photograph; fold them in and push the unit into the hole. The LED module is included. So is the driver, but it is not integrated into the fitting: it is a separate box of roughly 92 × 36 × 25 mm, and space has to be allowed for it above the suspended ceiling.
