An open batten for two 60 cm tubes The V-TAC VT-16011 is the simplest form a linear fitting can take: an open folded channel of white-painted sheet metal, with two G13 lampholders at the ends and a supply lead brought out at one side. There is no diffuser, no louvre and no reflector — the tubes sit exposed and all the light travels straight down and sideways. The body measures 615 × 55 × 50 mm and weighs 390 g. Two T8 tubes side by side The holders take T8 LED tubes with a G13 cap, 60 cm long, two to a batten. Two sources instead of one mean more than extra light: the distribution along the batten evens out and the shadow cast between the tubes shrinks. Because the tube is replaceable, the light itself — wattage, colour, output — is decided entirely by which tubes you fit. The same batten will take a 9 W tube at 4000 K for a garage or 3000 K for a utility room. What this type of fitting is for A batten is a functional fitting and should be read as one.
