CAUCASIA is a black surface-mounted cylinder 7 cm across and 7.5 cm tall, fixed straight onto the ceiling — no cut-out, no void needed above the board. Its integrated LED module delivers 570 lm of warm 3000 K light from 7 W. For ceilings that cannot take a recessed fitting A conventional downlight needs a hole and several centimetres of clearance above the ceiling. A surface cylinder needs neither — it fixes to a concrete slab, a timber ceiling or a finished board, with only the cable to bring in. That makes it the usual way out in flats after renovation, in kitchens with a concrete soffit, and anywhere the ceiling build-up is already closed. Focused output behind a flush diffuser The LED module sits behind an acrylic diffuser set into the lower rim of the cylinder, so the diode is never seen directly and the light drops in a clearly drawn cone. 570 lm from a single point is roughly what an old 50 W incandescent gave — one cylinder lights a worktop, an alcove or a stretch of hallway, and a row of them carries light down the length of a room. 3000 K and the build At 3000 K the light is warm and close to incandescent, which suits timber, brick and the matt black of the housing itself. The body is aluminium, which carries heat away from the module and is what the claimed LED life depends on. The matt black finish reads as a deliberate accent on a pale ceiling and all but disappears on a dark one. Where it belongs, and where it does not IP20 protection places the fitting in dry rooms — living room, bedroom, hallway, study, retail space. It must not go into a bathroom protection zone or outdoors. The light source is permanently built in and cannot be replaced, which is normal at this size: the whole cylinder is a single optical and thermal assembly. It runs from a 230 V supply.
