ROQUERO N°1 Las Plumas
ROQUERO N°1 is a handmade pendant lamp from the Polish studio Las Plumas. The drum shade is covered in velvet in shades of green with a multicoloured botanical and butterfly pattern picked out in red and blue. Braid and cord edge the top and bottom, and a dense olive fringe 14 cm long hangs from the lower rim. The gold interior The inside of the shade carries a glossy gold coating – that is what gives this lamp its character once lit. Light bounces off the gold before it leaves the shade, so the beam is noticeably warmer and softer than a white lining would give, and the shade itself glows with a subdued warm light. The frame is steel, lacquered black. Craft and size Each piece is made by hand, so small differences in how the pattern falls and how the trims finish are a feature, not a fault. The maker builds this model in several diameters – from 20 to 50 cm, with a shade height between 15 and 27 cm – so it is worth confirming the size currently offered here before ordering. What is in the box The lamp arrives ready to hang: shade, E27 lampholder, a 150 cm cord and a 10 × 3 cm ceiling rose. No bulb is included – the fitting works with any E27 lamp, so colour and output are yours to choose. A warm-toned source suits this kind of shade, since it lifts the gold inside.
