ARDALES is a fitting whose real material is not a metal shade but a curtain of hundreds of fine gold chains. They fall from a geometric rectangular base of 31 × 21 cm at varying lengths, forming an irregular cascading cone.What light does in a structure like this The source is hidden in the base and shines downward, through the chains. Every link throws back a little light, so instead of one pool on the table you get a diffuse, glittering shimmer — an effect closer to jewellery than to a working fitting. This is a decorative lamp: 308 lm will not light a room, and is not meant to.The finish Base, ceiling rose and the rigid suspension rod are made of brushed steel in a gold finish and aluminium. The brushing matters here: a matt, directional grain does not mirror the ceiling light, so the solid part stays quiet and attention remains on the chains.A height you set The suspension adjusts between 63.6 and 157.8 cm. The shorter setting suits a side table or a hallway; the full drop belongs in a stairwell or above a tall table, where the cascade has room to open out.Dimming The fitting is Triac dimmable — with an ordinary phase-cut dimmer in the wall box. With light of this character that is not an extra but the point: dimmed, ARDALES reads as jewellery for the room; at full output, more as a focal point over a table.The light source The LED 8 W, 308 lm, 3000 K module is built in and included — there is no lampholder and no bulb to change.
