It then no longer sits firmly on the shaft and shifts to the side. Sometimes this crack is barely visible, so simply test whether the gear can be rotated/moved on the shaft. Both gears are typical weak points. If the gear can be turned on the shaft, it is already damaged. There are 3 different thicknesses available (1.3mm; 2.2mm; 3.0mm). If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grasp the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull gently while doing so. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
