This is a one-metre length of the WIDE cover in clear PMMA – the flat, wide diffuser strip that closes a LUMINES aluminium profile from above. The cover does not light up by itself: it shields the LED strip fitted inside the profile from dust and touch, and at the same time decides what the line of light looks like. What the clear version changes Clear PMMA transmits about 94% of the light – the highest of all versions of this cover. It is the choice where maximum brightness matters more than the look of the line itself: worktop lighting, the inside of a wardrobe, shelving, technical areas. Be aware, though, that individual diodes remain visible through clear plastic – the line reads as a row of dots rather than a continuous glow. If the fitting will be in the field of view, a frosted (73%) or milky (42%) cover suits better, trading some output for an even line. Which profiles it fits The WIDE cover is made for LUMINES aluminium profiles from the SOLIS, iLEDO, INSO, CLARO, DULIO and FOLDO systems. Confirm which system is in your installation before ordering – covers are not interchangeable between profile families. Fitting The strip presses into the profile from the front, that is from above – nothing has to be slid along the whole length, which matters when the profiles are already screwed to a ceiling or a cabinet. It comes out the same way when you need to reach the LED strip. Lengths This product is a 1 m length. The WIDE cover in PMMA also comes in 2.02 m and 3 m; the manufacturer will cut to any size up to 3100 mm, but only for collection from the factory. Longer runs are made from several lengths – the joints look better if the cover joint falls somewhere other than the profile joint.
