The phase count is the specification here rather than a detail: an adapter for 1-phase track will not enter a 3-phase track, because the two run their conductors differently. It goes in lugs-first, and a turn of the dial locks it in the profile. This is an accessory for indoor systems, rated IP20 — for dry rooms, not outdoors and not in a bathroom shower zone. What the thread and the sleeve are for The threaded spigot is where the pendant's own suspension screws on, and the sleeve with its clamping screw grips the cable so that the weight of the fitting hangs on the sleeve rather than on the current terminals.
