EXPLORE is a slim black table lamp: a round base 15 cm across, a thin tube just 1.3 cm in diameter, and a small cylindrical shade 5.5 cm across at its end. The whole thing weighs a little over a kilogram and stands 37 cm tall. The head turns 360° and the arm bends This is the heart of the model and the reason to choose it over an ordinary bedside lamp. The shade turns a full 360° and the arm is flexible — it bends and holds the shape you give it. In practice one lamp works as a reading spot aimed at the page, as task light over a keyboard, or as a soft accent turned towards the wall. Nordlux describes it plainly as being for reading and working. GU10 up to 7 W, bulb bought separately The holder is GU10 — the spotlight base, available in hundreds of LED variants. The manufacturer caps it at 7 W in LED, and no bulb is included. With a shade this small (5.5 cm) the bulb decides the character of the light: a narrow 24–36° beam gives a focused pool to read by, a wide 100–120° one spreads light across the whole desk. The switch sits on the cable, within reach, so the lamp itself never has to be touched to turn it on. Cable, protection class and build The cable is 150 cm long, black, plastic-sheathed and not replaceable — damage means service rather than a do-it-yourself swap. The fitting is protection class II, double insulated: no earth needed, an ordinary socket is enough. The body is metal with plastic parts, in uniform black. IP20 keeps the lamp in dry interiors. The manufacturer notes that these fittings are not connected in parallel.
