CARRIZ LE62241 is a small recessed fitting with a visible frame of 71 × 32 mm, set 43 mm into the ceiling. Behind the narrow rectangular frame in black with a finely grained matt texture sit three separate optics fed by a single integrated LED module — the manufacturer counts it as one 6 W light source.Light without glare The key figure for this fitting is a UGR below 12. The glare index describes how much a fitting dazzles when you look towards it; below 19 is enough for an office, below 12 means the source stays effectively invisible. That comes from setting the optics deep inside the body — at eye level you see a dark frame, not a bright point. Combined with the narrow 24° beam it produces a concentrated throw that lands where it was aimed, without washing the whole ceiling.Colour and quality of light The module delivers 310 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. On the scale of a room that is little, and it is meant to be: a fitting of this class works as an accent — over a picture, a shelf, a bar top, or in a run along a corridor. A colour rendering index above 90 puts it well beyond the CRI 80 standard and counts for real where light falls on fabric, wood or a displayed object. The module is rated for 50,000 hours.Installation and conditions The body is aluminium, which carries heat away from the module — once buried in a ceiling that is the only cooling path available. The fitting is held by springs in a prepared aperture; the light source is integrated and supplied, so when the module reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced. Supply is 230 V and IP20 places it in dry interiors.
