Clifton is a three-light pendant 38.5 cm across in which the shades are cut faceted glass — clear solids with cut faces, set in metal finished in bright nickel. This is no frosted diffuser: the facets refract the light and throw a shifting pattern of highlights onto ceiling and walls, changing with the angle you look from. When mounting into a plasterboard ceiling, use an anchor passing through the board into the structural slab rather than a board plug alone. The fitting is class I, so the circuit needs a PE earth conductor. Chain length is set before hanging, by removing links.
