KOSTER Double Head 1177 is a post-top luminaire in graphite RAL 7016, built from two dome-shaped shades on horizontal arms either side of the stem. It spans 82.5 cm and stands 22.5 cm tall, and each shade measures 24.5 cm across. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated. What it mounts on This is the luminaire alone, without a pole: it slips onto a mounting stem of 60 mm diameter to a depth of 80 mm. The pole is bought separately, and whether its head is exactly that size is the first thing to check before ordering. A 3.7 m H05VV-F 3G1 cable leaves the luminaire, meant to be connected inside the pole in a suitable junction box. The fitting is protection class I, so an earth connection is mandatory, and it runs on 220–240 V. Which lamps to buy Both shades carry E27 lampholders and no lamps are supplied. The manufacturer specifies E27 LED lamps in an A55–A60 envelope of up to 9 W per point, so the bulb shape is worth checking before ordering, because larger decorative globes simply will not fit. Colour and output are yours to choose. The light distribution is one-sided, symmetrical and directed downwards, with 0% of the output going above the luminaire plane. All of the light reaches the ground rather than the sky — a difference that counts when lighting paths and driveways next to bedroom windows. Build and resistance The shades are clear textured polycarbonate, UV-stabilised. IP65 means protection against water jets from any direction, and IK10 is the highest impact rating on that scale — the fitting is rated for service from −20 to +45°C. The luminaire weighs 6.38 kg, a figure to check against the load rating and section of the pole you choose.
