Small Plane is a children's pendant in which the entire fitting is a biplane cut from wood. The bulb sits between the wings, where the cockpit would be, so what glows is not a shade but the aircraft itself — switched off, it stays a decoration rather than a light source waiting to be turned on. Wood, not plastic Body, wings and tailplane are made of solid pine. At this scale that material gives real weight and stiffness — the plane does not rattle when knocked and has none of the thin, brittle parts typical of plastic models. This example is finished in grey and white: the body in a calm, light grey, the wings and struts in white. The manufacturer uses water-based paints and oils certified for use on children's products. Turning propeller and landing gear The propeller turns and the landing-gear wheels sit on axles — these are not parts glued on for looks. For a child it is something to touch and set in motion; for an adult it means the lamp is assembled from separate, finished components rather than moulded as a single lump. The light The fitting takes one replaceable E27 lamp up to 60 W — no lamp is included. The manufacturer recommends a milky globe bulb: opal glass diffuses the light and does not dazzle a child looking up at the lamp, while the spherical shape neatly closes the cockpit volume between the wings. A clear bulb with a visible filament glares in that position and spoils the model's proportions. Total height including the suspension is 70 cm; the cords are shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height in the room. The fitting is for dry indoor use only. Which room it suits A 30 cm wingspan and 34 cm length are the "small" size in Hellux's plane range — large enough to be the first thing you notice in a room, yet visually light enough not to overwhelm a small one. It works over a bed, over a play corner and in a room meant to grow with the child: an aviation motif in wood ages far better than a cartoon print. About the manufacturer P.P.H.U. HELLUX-HAIN Sp.
