Talland 3 Light Wall Light - Polished Chrome Elstead

Name: Talland 3 Light Wall Light - Polished Chrome Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Talland is a three-light wall light by Kichler, distributed by Elstead Lighting. The steel bar and arms are finished in polished chrome, and the three clear glass shades have a ribbed, stepped crown above a smooth bell – a shape modelled on the glass insulators fitted to telegraph poles in the first half of the 20th century. Each shade hangs from its own U-shaped arm. Size and where it fits The wall light is 55.9 cm wide and 16.3 cm high, and projects 17.5 cm from the wall. Compare the width with the mirror or cabinet it will sit above: three shades spaced across more than half a metre spread the light along the mirror instead of concentrating it in one spot. The fitting weighs 3.74 kg and its mounting plate is 12.7 cm in diameter. The manufacturer specifies Talland for interiors, including bathrooms. IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction, so the light can be mounted above a washbasin. It is a Class I fitting and therefore needs an earth connection. Lamps and light colour The fitting has three G9 lampholders and comes with three 3 W G9 LED lamps, so nothing needs to be bought before it is first switched on. Each lamp gives 300 lm, about 900 lm in total – slightly more than an old 60 W bulb. A colour temperature of 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 is the usual colour rendering of home lighting. The lamps are replaceable, so when they wear out you change the lamps rather than the whole fitting; the manufacturer rates them at 25,000 hours. The wall light works with dimmable lamps – dimming needs a dimmer switch and G9 lamps marked as dimmable. Which interiors it suits Talland has a vintage character: the historic shape of the clear glass and exposed chrome arms rather than a smooth housing. It is intended for above a bathroom mirror and over a dressing table, and also for the dining room. The Talland series also includes one-, two- and four-light versions, so the width of the fitting can be matched to the mirror.Mostrar mais
