Shock absorber conversion kit for PORSCHE 944 951 87- 968 Threaded sleeves + wrench SET Conversion kit to Bilstein B6 Description: This kit provides a complete solution for converting pressed-in 944 front axle shock absorbers to bolted Bilstein B6 shock absorbers. The set includes 2 shock absorbers, 2 threaded sleeves, and 1 cartridge wrench, which is required to tighten the shock absorber retaining nut. Installation instructions are provided below.Procedure:1. Chisel open the crimp of the old shock absorber cartridges and pull out the damper cartridges.2. Shorten the tubes by 44.5 mm.3. Remove the zinc coating from the threaded sleeves in the welding area.4. Carefully hammer the threaded sleeves into the tubes and weld them securely all around. (Before welding, check that the gap between the tube and the threaded sleeve is correct. The damper cartridge must be able to be tightened with the nut by 5 full turns.)5.
