COIN is a range of round ceiling lights from the Spanish brand Mantra, designed by MANTRA TEAM. This model – reference 7568 – is 38 cm across and just 6.8 cm deep, in a wood finish. Colour temperature changed from the remote The defining feature is continuous colour adjustment across 2700–5000 K, plus dimming. One fitting therefore covers both warm evening light and cooler working light, with no lamp to change. Control is by the supplied 2.4 GHz radio remote (remote code R00129) or over Bluetooth. Unlike infrared, a radio remote does not have to be pointed at the fitting. How much light it gives Two numbers are worth separating, and the manufacturer publishes both: the diodes themselves produce 5360 lm, while 2500 lm leaves the fitting after the acrylic diffuser. The second figure is the one to plan with – 2500 lm is sensible general lighting for a room of roughly 12–15 m². Colour rendering CRI 80, rated life 25,000 hours (about 23 years at three hours a day) and 30,000 on/off cycles. Build and mounting The manufacturer lists the materials as iron, acrylic and polystyrene. The low 6.8 cm profile keeps the fitting flush to the ceiling – useful in rooms with lower ceilings and anywhere a pendant would be in the way. Supply AC 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz, protection class I (a protective earth is required), IP20 – dry interiors only. The height is not adjustable. Mantra describes the LED module as replaceable.
