Lars Black is a ceiling light with three diamond-shaped wire cage shades, set on straight arms radiating from a central cylinder. The whole measures 60 × 60 cm and stands 39 cm high — a close-to-ceiling fitting, not a pendant. A shade that hides nothing The shades are open cages of black wire, so they conceal nothing: the bulb is fully visible and the wire edges draw a sharp geometric shadow across ceiling and walls. That changes how you choose the lamp — the bulb is part of the decor here. A decorative filament in a pear or globe envelope gives the effect this structure was built for; a plain opal bulb will work electrically but will erase the filament drawing the cage was meant to display. Decorative cable arcs Between the arms and the ceiling rose run loose arcs of black cable. This is a design detail, not stray wiring: it lends lightness to a rigid symmetrical structure and places the fitting in a loft aesthetic where visible installation is part of the look. The 60 cm spread does need free space under the ceiling: this is not a fitting for a narrow hallway. The loft style pairs well with raw timber, brick and metal detailing; in a more classical interior the black cages will act as a counterpoint rather than a background. IP20 restricts it to dry rooms.
